Hi guys. Sorry for all the newbie questions, but I'm still learning and could use some more help. On my 1958 D14, are the hydraulic pump and power director resivours the same? In the owners manual, it list two filler holes, but when I look at the actual housing, they sure appear to be one piece. I do notice there are two drain plugs on the bottom side, so maybe its one housing with two cavities? Also, can someone please post a picture of the transmission drain plug? I looked around for it, but there is 50 years worth of dirt and grime under the tractor and I'm having trouble locating the plug amongst it all! Last question, I see where the final drive filler drive filler plug is, but where is the drain plug? Do you just pull the filler plug and then evacuate the fluid using a suction gun? Thanks in advance for the advice. This site has been an amazing source of information.

Ypu should have seperate resevoirs for the PD and Hyd. Not near mine rite now, but I think the PD dipstick is on the right side (a large cap on it) and the Hyd is on top by the tranny (a 1 or 1 1/8" nut). There should be 3 1 or 1 1/8" drain plugs under the tranny area to drain the fluids. If no one come on and corrects my failing memory, I will check my manul tommorrow and update you.

I always figured you were suipposed to take off the final drive pans to clean them out, replace them and then fill them. Probably when they were new you just added fluid as needed.

Thanks for the quick answers, except for the 'bump' comment...not sure what that means. I appologize for the 'basic-ness' of these questions. I have the owners manual, but sometimes its not overly clear. This tractor is twice as old as I am, so a lot of the systems are unfamiliar to me and very, VERY different from my 2010 tractor. Anyways, appreciate everyone taking the time to help me out.
