Sorry, not sure where to post this.  But, on Tues. my son Sean, 18,  has to report to the U.S. Federal building in Pittsburgh, to be sworn in as a U.S. Marine.

He signed last Monday, did the cup test, physical, etc. As far as now, he has to finish high school, about 4 weeks there, then, he has the summer off!  Has to report Oct. 3rd, as of now.  Might be sooner they say??  Will do the 13 weeks of boot camp, then 10 days off, then, I think, 8 weeks of training again.   I SURE AM PROUD OF HIM!

Marine boot camp is the toughest of all the services. Tell him congratulations and to keep his sights on graduating at the end of 13 weeks instead of the hell that they are handing out during training. You have every right to be proud. Thank him for his service.

You ought to have him start to work on keeping his bearing. I have field training next summer if I make it. Oh the joys of ROTC....
