I've got a chance to buy four rear wheel weights off of a WD45.
1. Will they fit on my Series IV D17?
2. What are they worth?
thanks

as to what they're worth, 100 bucks a set is the average I would think. Less then that is a deal. I know they're not the correct weights for your tractor, but they may bolt on. They weigh about 135 lbs each. I have never tried to put any of mine on my series 4.

I keep hearing guys say they go for a buck a pound.
They should bolt right on to your series IV D-17.
The rims are different on the series IV but I believe the wheel center
is the same on all the D-17s. I see lots of the WD-45 style weights on
D-17s. As a matter of fact I've seen very few of the "pie" weights on the D-17s altho that is the style shown in the parts book.

I have the 45 wts on a S III that has the same center and rim as the S IV. The weights will bolt right on just fine. The problem is they cover the nut for the power shift rim. If you don't change width - no problem. I needed to change mine a lot due to trailer width. I drilled new holes in the center to rotate the weight about a quarter turn so the notch in the weights lines up with the the rim adjustments.

I have put them on my D17 IV. They will fit fine. I have seen them sold anywhere from $100 to $200 for a set. I got lucky and bought my set for around $90 or so, I think. Saw a single one go for $60 last weekend.
