how much fluid & what kind does a wd hold in the rear end & tranny. 80/90?

Thats what I used in mine (80/90w), my book says 17 quarts, if a p.t.o. is installed on the transmission add one extra quart. hope this helps Josh

I got a 5 gallon pail of hy-tran fluid, you'll have a couple extra quarts left over for the hydraulic reservoir too. Put 85W140 in the final drives, really quiets them down. If you have a little more time, remove the battery box and cover over the hand clutch and fill it that way. Its easier to see and pour right out of the pail. Just take the filler plugs out and dump it in until it comes out the filler holes.

As they said, three drains (make sure you drain all three) and two fill plugs for two compartments. The oil has to make it's way past a bearing to get from one side to the other and will seek its own level, the colder it is the longer it takes to level out or you can use both fill plugs.
