Here is a picture of the eight foot ripper that sold.  Has anyone seen one of these before and have any information on them.  I've never seen one.  It sold for $375.  I thought it was neat and was going to go $200, but . . .

I kind of like that little jewel. It would be a welcome addition to any snap coupler collection. It must be kind of a match for a WD 45 or a D 17,  huh? Thanks for posting, Darrel

Dave, the snap coupler dirt scoop went for $375. I know because I quit at $300. Even the twin wheel mowers went for about $200 each. Every thing was too rich for my blood. I hope you didn't drive 5 hours round trip to talk home nothing. The only bargain I saw was an A&I spindle for a D17 that brought $35. I wasn't paying attention or that would have been mine.

Oh, sorry about that Chris.  I was a little iffy on some of the prices, was giving it my best effort, and just going on memory, which shows that needs a little bit of improvement.  I only spent $5 on some stuff, so didn't take home anything I had hoped to, but enjoyed the day and met some nice other Allis aficiondos.

I wish i had known you were there. I would have introduced myself. I was hoping to take home a couple of things but I am apparently getting cheap the older I get. I was only about 10 miles from home to. Were you planning on pulling that ripper with your 17? I have a 3 point 3 bottom chisel that i pulled with my 17 last fall and it gave it a work out in places.

Well, Chris, we probably saw each other.  I had a gray hooded sweatshirt and a gray hat with Allis insignia on it.  I thought I'd try pulling it first with the '45 to see how it would do.  Then I could try my '17 with it.  If you lived that close, did you know any of the history about the individual/place.  I just expected to find a lot more treasures around or on the rack, considering the tractors and equipment that were there.

The son said they had scrappers in after his dad passed away and they took around $10,000 out before the sale.  I'm sure some treasure were lost long then.
I couldn't believe the prices on the 190's, especially the one in pieces.

That is a later style Oxnard toolbar.  I have one but I think I am missing one shank. They made a bunch of different tools that you could mount to the bar.

Here's a pic of my hd Oxnard cultivator.  I also have a  couple of plain tool bars....maybe I will run across some spikes some day.  I don't think those would work too well in our rocky soil, tho.
