A D-12 with a Woods belly mower in Ohio just sold on e-bay for $2600. Decent looking tractor with diamond tread tires. Seemed to me to be a bargain. Any opinions? Bob@allisdowneast

If it had the factory 3pt or the range transmission I would say it was a steal. Series 3???

Maybe since he added Kubota, John Deere, Ford  it sold cheaper. For a lawn mower I think it was a good deal.

From what I could see it appears to be a Snap couple hitch and no mention of power director. It says 4 speed forward and 1 reverse.

Looks like that must be the one a guy has an ad to haul home in the classifieds.
Other than D series sheetmetal, whats the diff between that and a CA?

Seems there is timing issues to factor in also, right time, right price, etc. You can stan at auctions and watch "fencepost's" running price's skyhigh, then catch a deal on Craigs/others [Wak-B], maybe hit EBY at right time when others aren't looking, no rhythm/reason.

I'm almost certain thats the same tractor I saw on the Pittsburgh craigslist for $3800 (I think) about a week ago.

Yep. Here it is.

People really need to remember to take their ads down after they sell something. You call on something and they say its long gone... I would not want to be bothered about something I sold 2 weeks ago.

This makes me feel really good.  I'm trying to get together with a guy who has one in a shed, he says it is a complete tractor and i can have it for scrap price.  Johnny

Johnny, Am I understanding you to say that you are getting a D 12 for scrap iron price? Couldn't possibly go wrong with that! Darrel

Ted,  He told me he was going to sell it for scrap.  I started quizzing him about it, he says it is complete.  I asked him if he would sell it to me for scrap price.  I hope I can get together with him this saturday.  Johnny

Johnny, The way I see it, if the deal makes him happy and makes you happy, it's a good deal all around. Good luck. Bob@allisdowneast
