I thought I might ask the more experienced then I a question concerning paint for my "other orange tractor". I thought about going with an acrylic enamel, but the parts store said single stage urethane would lay better and produce a better end product.
what would the painters out there suggest? Any thoughts appreciated. |

Yes, a urethane will take more abuse like gas spills on the tank or a dripping carburetator and sunlight won't fade the color near as bad. it would well be worth the extra cost.

I have both persians in a urethane if your interested. Problem is I can't ship it because its considered hazardous. I'm in the S.E. corner of Iowa but don't know where Nevada, MO is.

With the price quoted, the price was only about a 1/4 more. but I have never had any experience with it.

Urethanes are usually user friendly and easy to apply and will tack up as fast as a good acrylic enamel. But you will more than likely be dealing with ISOs so you definitely need good ventilation and a charcoal filtered respirator. Sorry about the "other Orange" I ran right over that.
