If you type in allis chalmers, about 800 Allis Chalmers 2300 parts come up. Lol. First of all, what is an allis 2300? And how long did it take that guy to put all the parts up there? Thought it was kinda funny.

It's a type, the parts came off a 200, I bet he hit the 3 when typing, and didn't realize it, but kept reusing the same auction format, just changing the title a bit. oops

Carl - it's Marty, he's constantly parting out tractors and has something Allis on there just about all the time. I bought a few things from him and others here have as well. One forum member had an issue with sending him payment through the mail though. Mike

That guy does tear down a pile of tractors, can't imagine where he gets them all and I wonder how he comes out on them after the auctions?

Remember when you typed in allis chalmers wd 45 on evilbay and maybe 175-225 items would pop up. Now it's 600-700 items and takes 20-30 mins. to go through instead of 2-3 mins. Rarely a whole wd for auction anymore. Really sad......just the way I feel..... Fred

Marty parts out a lot of tractors, the problem I have is most of them are perfectly good tractors to start with. I've heard guys say that the tractor he is parting out is better than the one their fixing up. Ron

Hay Ron
Maybe contact this Marty guy and ask if you can buy the whole ,running tractor before he parts it out. We all know there's more money in bits and pieces IF you have the time and space to teardown the tractor.
I know it's sad to hear about tractors, or cars, or trucks being sold off thsi way but...
you have to remember HE's the guy who found the tractor and paid what the seller wanted....
Heck I just sold a car today, over $1,000 in parts but I got $300 cash in my hand and didn't need to turn a wrench or store 'stuff' for ??? months for maybe ?? a sale or two...

I've only bought a few things from him with no problems. Someone said a while back on the Forum that I agree with...."would you rather have parts from a worn-out POS, or from something that has some life left?" JMHO.

This topic has been kicked around the forum a few times, good points on both sides, but I stick to my guns, I don't like it, but just my opinion. Ron

It is sad to see good tractors like that get torn down, but if you think a lil bit, many tractors have to die to keep ours running/going.
