Here's a hood that seems a bit high.  I e mailed them to see if they had one too many zeros - no, that's the price!

In my humble opinion it wouldn't be worth that with the rest of the tractor attached, unless it had a full tank of gas.

If it really is a fantastic piece and you truly 'restore' tractors(ie: back to original condition, no bondo,no lead,etc.) it's not that bad in the big picture, as you can easily have up to $8,000 into one small tractor.
 
Who among us haven't paid more for an item just because we wanted or needed it ?
Come on now, raise your hands...mine's up ,...

There's like a billion Ford 8N'S out there.  For a little more money you can get a whole tractor with a hood.  I see them all the time on CL.
Here's one with a mower.
