I have a hd11ep and was wondering if it was possible to put the segment style sprocket off of a 11b on the 11ep.Have always been told that it would not work.

Yes, It should be doable . The HD11EP and the HD11 series B use the same undercarrige. We're planning on doing that when we have time to work on our HD11EP. Some of the early HD11Es (not powershift) had the smaller undercarrige. But EPs should be compatible with the series B.

Many thing are possible , I put D5 track on my D6 and used the D5 segmented sprocket ring which I welded to the D6 sprocket spokes after cutting old D6 teeth off.
Was easier to find D5 track than older D6. Everything else interchanged .

Life lesson: If you’re being chased by a lion, you’re on a horse, to the left of you is a giraffe and on the right is a unicorn, what do you do? You stop drinking and get off the carousel.

I have seen Cat D5 track gear with 6.91 pitch fitted to a HD11. Same rollers were used; and the guy had a adapter ring made up to weld to the allis spokes that took the cat segments. HD11 sries B rim should be adaptable to a 11EP or just use a B sprocket.
