Dana, can't help you on that one, but I have a D19 here that had a front pump on at one time and it got taken off before I bought it.   There is a diverter valve on the left front right by the tractor's pump which switched from the front pump to the bottom pump.   Once I get the tractor running and see if the lower pump is alright, I may take all of that off and if you need it, we can work something out.    Just would be happy to see someone use it.   I just hope I don't end up with the same thing as yours when I get it up and going.   Needs a clutch first.   Hope to dive into it, in the next couple weekends.

That looks like a Parker/Hanafin that was power steering pump on a 79 INT semi cabover I had.Was on the back of an 8V92TA.

The diverter valve will not be used in this case because the original pump will be gone.

Dana, check with Force America, 800-789-7711 and ask for Tom Kaufman, I got a front mounted pump for my D17, he knew what i wanted and had all the parts to make it work. Tell him Randy told you to call!

If you are in Oklahoma, my second choice of an engine was there. I found one closer. A fellow had a combine he was saving for the motor.

I have a front pump and drive shaft from a D-19 . Never got the tubing or diverter valve.  I think I paid a $100 for it when I was going to try and put it on a D-17. I have no time for that project and would like to get my money out of it.   It's at my place over in Jefferson, NY or could put it in the mail.

Dana,

Here are some pictures of the front mounted pump that I put on my D19.  I would try to get an original one if you can, then you do not have to cut any sheet metal from the front end of the tractor.  Wish I would of known where to get an original factory mounted pump for mine.  Anyway, this one turned at pretty good.  Let me know if you need any measurements.  Good luck.

Yes, use your existing sump for the oil resivour.    One caveat here,   the small pump behind the cowl like Glenn says he has is a very small volumn pump.  I dont think it was meant to take the place of the main hyd pump, but to serve as make up oil when the main pump wasnt pumping, like with the clutch pedal down.  What it did was give you indepent hydralics.  I have a D19 gas that has the front pump, the tractor had a loader on it most of its life, the guy who had it feed cattle and the D19 loaded the feed wagon.   What I would do is put the main pump back in and leave out the cam followers on the bad lobes, then use the front pump too.  that way you you wont be overloadiing the front pump.    Hopefully Glenn has the crank pulley adapter that goes with the pump, they are spendy, and Im not sure you can buy one anymore.      Good luck

Skip I did a "rough" test with mine.....clutch down, plow up in 6 seconds, clutch up plow up in 3 seconds.  It appears that they pump the same volume...but that little guy sure looks small! I think it runs faster though.....

Yes, I am getting the pump and mounts from Glenn. If I am only going to lift a cylendar on the haybine and when baling to aim the kicker I suppose the front pump would be sufficient? Thanks, Dana

Fixer,

The pump is a MTE model C315M-23. It is an older model. I am not sure of the GPM but it handles the loader pretty well. I really can't complain because I got it for free. Have a good friend who gave it to me. He was a foreman at a paper plate factory. The factory had a surplus and he got to take a few home. I think he said it was run off a motor and it supplied a large industrial press.

I don't care if it is a small pump and only matches the original pump volume/output, it's LIVE !!! and works with the foot clutch pushed down!!
