Where is the correct location for the back work light? I have the one for mine but I have never had it on it and don't know where it goes exactly. I googled WD45 and didn't see any with the light mounted.

Also should this tractor have what you call a safety light I guess mounted to the left fender. Its a red lens light. My neighbor's D17 and D14 has one. Thanks.

Seems to me there was a bracket to mount them on the seat mount or seat spring??

Yep, that's me.  I can't remember for sure but I believe the bracket is bolted onto the rear bolt for the right hand brake cover.  (this is this same picture that Brian Rees teased me about.... not much compression left in that seat spring...) LOL

Look at it this way, you don't need wheel weights!

I don't know exactly about the '45 but the WD did not come with a rear work light. That was up to the dealer or the buyer and came in various incarnations depending on need. I suspect I'll get some argument on this but I know when we bought the WD in '49, Dad asked the dealer where the light was and he said that it could be mounted wherever we wanted as it was our tractor now.

Here's where the light is mounted on my WD, came from the dealer this way. I guess the dealer could've put it on, it was my grandfather's.

The WD45 was my Grandpa's and I have it now. The work light was took off when I was probably about 5 or a little younger b/c the lens got broke, I am now 21. I am 100% sure thats where the light was mounted before it was took off after seeing this pic. Funny how a pic will spark a memory from years ago.
