My first trip into the feild to haul logs didnt turn out that well tractor ran and drove well untill the shift cable broke luckly the old owner had the cover off the consule therefore I got it into low and drove home. What is the little cablle attached to the linkage do? Is it simple to  the replace cable? Where do I get one and aprox cost I was thinking of trying the dealer that advertises here. Thanks.

The little cable is over 100.00. Take the floor panel out under floor mat. Where the cable anchors may have came out.   MACK

Well I have good news on the 7040 break down it wasent the cable the ball on the shift lever is all that is broken. Is there anywhere I can find a parts breakdown on the internet really wanna get it goin by next weekend thanks again for your help
