What is the easiest way to install WC brake bands? Should they go in bolt first or the other way? My I&T manual does not say. I tried both ways today and probably did not do enough forcing to get the band around the drum. Thanks. |

tie a piece of wire to the loop end and fish it through, keep wire in center of drum and pull on wire as you feed band down and around drum. David

the easiest way was to tie some thing to the band before you pulled it out, then you could tie it to the new one to help it make the turn. I have fed a coat hanger around the drum, then used it to pull them around. I did mine butt first, I don't believe there is room for the stud to go around
