I have the hydraulics on my WD45 set to the "hold" position for using a 3pt mower. I went to the neighbors house today to use his pick up disk, I hooked it up and it wouldn't raise it, do I need to set the system different to operate the ram on the disk?

Before you start adjusting the hydraulic system tell us about the disk, first what size is the disk and are you using a one way ram to lift it? Don

3 WD45's with power steering,G,D15 fork lift,D19, W-Speed Patrol, "A" Gleaner with a 330 corn head,"66" combine,roto-baler, and lots of Snap Coupler implements to make them work for their keep.

On the 45, I have never made any changes when using the ram vs. the snap couple rams.

I think it is an 8ft disk. The ram is single acting. The guy uses it behind his D14 and D17 no problems. I checked fluid level and it was good. I use the 3pt all the time it works great, lifts up a snap coupler 3pt AC disk no problem. Don't understand why it won't run the cylinder.

make sure that you have compatible ends on the tractor and the disc's hydraulic hose.

Check drawing on side of battery box. Lock the two plates together on top of the pump
and the is a screw on the side of the pump between pump wall and hand clutch wall
believe turn this screw all the way out.
Is the hyd fluid to the top level on the gauge stick.
Years ago - late 50's running a horn loader on a WD the hyd tank had to be very full to make the loader go to the max height.

I think Chris may have the solution. Orig hyd coupling on AC was Bruning. Later when to Pioneer. They will hookup but won't work. I believe the Bruning has a ball tip and the pioneer has a pointed tip.

Ahhhhh ok that figures. I have the original male coupler with the extra piece that clips on to make it female. The disk has pioneer I think.
