I've been working on making a deal on this WF for almost 6 years. The owner assures me that My phone will ring when He's ready to sell. I'm like a kid waiting for a Christmas Day that never comes! I'm sure it will work out sometime, but I don't want to be pushy either. Anyone ever have a similar situation? What would you do? Chad

I'm drooling!  Just be glad you have the first dibs.  I'd just casually bring it up on occasion, to keep him reminded, LOL!
I can feel your pain, I know where some jems are tucked away (not AC, but for one), but the widow has no interest in parting with any of it yet.  It's a waiting game I guess, I mention it from time to time, and just hope I'll get the first phone call as well...

Yeah, I do mention it once in a while.....I get a smile out if him every time because he knows he's just torturing me! I do feel happy to be first in line as you said.

I'd say you're fine then.  Lets hope he's not too cruel.... :)

Chad, Jacob is right. Easy for me to say, but patience and an occasional reminder to the owner will pay off. Good luck on eventually getting that gem. Bob@allisdowneast
I used to think I was indecisive, but now I'm not sure.

Do not forget that occasion gift certificate to his favorite watering hole.
Something else to butter him up a bit.   A couple pounds of special ordered orange and cream M&M's ??  Maybe be a bit $$,  But the smile and thoughtfulness might tip the scales quicker?

How old a fella is he?  What happens if he (God forbid) drops over?  I would mention it in the presence of his wife to cross my T's and dot the i's.  Maybe even some other people who could witness it?  Wish you luck!!  Where abouts are you in WI? I'm in La Crosse.  Ted

Thanks for all of the comments. Ted sorta touched a bit on one of my concerns. He is up in his late 80's, and had a stroke about 4 years ago. ( He is sharp as a tack, but lost most of his eyesight.....I know there is a tech term for it, but I'm far from a MD ) He  really has a soft spot for Caterpillar and Cletrac crawlers mostly, so this is one of the very few AC's he has. He knows, as does his wife about my interest in it. I'll just have to wait! Thanks again for the input. Chad
