I am sitting in Dublin GA, waiting for a load in McIntyre tommorow night. Anybody close to hear have any Allis's I can look at. Seen a 6060-6080 on 441 about half way between McIntyre and Dublin.

Brian, Breeze lives around Dublin. Not sure what he has, but i'll bet he knows where there are some to look at. Orange is a bit scarce here in GA. Gets even more so the further south you go in GA. Gets very green down that way.
Just spotted a G for sale here in Elberton today. Bet it will be expensive, but i'm gonna ask anyway.
I didn't do it! It was a short, fat, tall, skinny guy that looked like me!

Brian no orange around here, only a red and a gray one. If you are staying around the I-16/hwy 441 area there is a deere dealer about a mile north of 16 on 441, on the south bound side that would know.  The only orange I know of up there is Reeves construction co uses a D17d to pull sheep foot packer. The area where you seen the Allis must have been near Albritton Sales, they were a Montana tractor dealer but had other stuff too. I didnt think there was much to haul out of McIntyre but kaolin.

Just wanted to add that Dream was right about things turning greener down this way. And even more so south of me too.

Breeze, I haul out of BASF, dispatch calls it clay, maybe it is kaolin. I seen a used equip dealer along 441, on a hill, that looked like he had some compacts and some bush hogs and blades.

Brian that is good orange clay over around those k pits. That dealer sounds like the Albritton folks. Super nice people, I have bought a few red compact tractor items from them back when they sold little red gardening tractors. They used to have some old horse drawn stuff sitting in a field with a tractor or two, at least I thought it was theirs.

Wasnt going to tell you, didnt want to upset you. LOL  Over in east dublin on  hwy 199 there is a US #1 Recycling center that usually has a mountain of old iron heaped up in the edge of the yard with a WD or two maybe even a B or C stuck up in there, and always a combine or two.  One of them torch happy junksters with a lot of mexican torchers on staff.

Breeze, The stuff we pick up is white powder in bags. It goes to a paper plant in Ontario.

Brian,

That is Kaolin. The pappier industry is one of the biggest customers. I know you came through here about a month ago because you saw the B on Hwy 15 north. I believe you had been at the BASF plant on Hwy 24.
Think for yourself and be your own expert. Be willing to change your mind; however, willingness to change your mind doesn’t mean that you will. Blindly following any path is the pinnacle of insanity.
