I am looking at doing some custom hay cutting with my 5680 tractor. Does anyone have experience with flipping the rims to widen out the wheel width? Just wondering about axle strength and any bearing issues. We want to widen the tires out to prevent driving on the wide swath of hay. Anyone pulling a NH 1411 discbine with there 5680?
Will I have enough power?
Thanks in advance
Brad

We flipped the wheels on my brothers 6690 without any problems and I actually think their designed for that for wheel spacing.
I'm not sure on the power but I'd think you'd be pushing it. I'm new to this here discmower technology and from what I've heard is that you don't want to do it without a cab or you could get flung with a rock. That'd be my main concern with a 5680. |

We widened out our 5680 years ago. It has not been here in 10 years or so as we traded it but we never had any troubles with it other than the ring gear chipped a tooth and destroyed itself as well as the pinion gear in the fwa.
