L, L 2, L3's with the hydrastatic drive had the 426 engines

N5 and N6 also had the 426.  N7 had the 516

In 1972 and 1973 model "L"'s there was no 426 offering at all, even if it was a hydro. All others had to be hydro drive to have the 426 engine option.

What was the 4 cylinder turbo cubic inches and horsepower that came in some of the L series?

That was the 433I which was 200 cubic inches, it is basically a 301 with 2 cylinders cut off. Same as what is in a 6080 tractor.  It was in the F2 and F3 combines and it was turboed and intercooled putting out about 95 horse.  We have got an F2 with one of these engines and they are powerful, and very fuel efficient.  K2 had the same engine but was just turboed.  The rest of the L series had the 6 cylinder 301.

There was a very very few of the last production M3 that had the 426.

My brother has a late M3 with a 426 and a few #'s earlier one with a 301.  Both original.
