    Posted: 11 Feb 2011 at 10:59pm
I see by their website, AGCO has this photo contest going for your farm dog. My gut reaction was to send them the picture of Dale Haymakers dog, DJ, sitting on his WD45 with a John Deere dog collar on. Could it be a winner? Dale, if you read this, what do you think? If I don't hear from you in 2 days I will email or PM you. I don't have a dog or I would dress him up and take a nice picture to submit.
Anybody with a dog, take a picture of your dog and submit it. Maybe some pictures of your dog running your Gleaner or joy riding on an Orange tractor.

Now do think they would post a picture of your handsome pup if he/she was sitting up on a 60/70/80's vintage AC machine? Or, is this subject to newer AGCO machinery?

Greg, looks like a farm dog to me. I would just like to see everybody here post a picture of their dog. If there happens to be some Vintage Orange it the picture, all the better. I want to see what MFCO I mean AGCO does.

Great pictures gentleman! Don, Thunder would like a playdate with your pup, this weather has been limiting his romp around time w/ dog friends. I'll get a picture of him up here, now if I could only train him to drive the 175!!

Here is a picture of the mixed Terrier we had (or as some would call her, a terrorizer).

She loved riding in the cab of the 7000 with me (I'd like to think it wasn't only for the air conditioning on those hot KY summer days...).  It sure made the work a lot less monotonous to have her in there.  Unfortunately she was attacked by a couple of pitbull mixes that got loose out of the yard of one of the guys on the farm and went to a better place a few days later.  This was the same dog that ran out of the uncut bluegrass one time right into the tedder (chasing a rabbit) as I was making the opening pass in the field.  She proved that Terriers could fly and my heart could stop.

Would really like to post a picture of a dog, but I made a promise to myself never to have another dog after having to put my Lab down many years ago. Just to hard to loose them when they take over your heart.

Chris, my buddy here is going stir crazy too. I am sure he would like to be out in the snow more. We had that big snowstorm 2 weeks ago, and I could only see his head through the drifts in the yard! He decided that the footsteps I made through the drifts were easier to travel, so he walked behind me! Not much of a trailblazer, is he!

We will see if AGCO still recognizes orange paint, I gave em 3 pictures with orange anyways.

This is Daisy the brains of the operation. She is actually a very good cattle dog. She doesn't understand her breed is not supposed to do that.

Butch,
That picture reminds me of our Golden we had when I was a teen. She walked that furrow all day long, eating meadow moles. At the end of the day, Dad had to give her a ride home, because her belly was draggin' from all the moles.
Thxs for the memories,
Glenn

Here's my kids. The first is Bo. He's the one that would be considered the "farm dog." We don't exactly have a farm but he loves running beside the tractors when we have them out playing. He is my dog but is best buds with my dad so he now has a John Deere collar on with a JD name tag.
The others are Chloe, Daisy, and Sam. All four dogs stay in the house, but Bo usually goes in and out with me when I'm working in the shop.
Just when I thought I was finishing my "honey-do-list", she turned the page!!!
