Got a planter for our G this weekend and need some info about it.  The mounting brackets seem to work but don't look original.  It appears the planter was made by Cole. The hopper isn't in the best shape and the lid is missing but it appears everything else is there.. Was the hopper supposed to be oval or round. Looks like it could have been oval.  Looking for a lid to fit the hopper if any has one.

Looks to me like the mounting brackets are for a one-row G cultivator with the planer bolted to that.  Don't know anything about the planter itself.

Is this a corn/bean planter or will it work for vegetable seeds too?

I have several different plates for it. Guess it can be used for vegetable seeds as well.

I recently came across one of these buried under other stuff in a shed.  I didn't drag it out but I did take a few pictures which I posted here not too long ago.

The Topic was "Model G Planter?"

The one I was looking at had a round seed hopper.  It also had a fertilizer hopper mounted aft.

Here's a link to a very similar planter which seems to still be in production.

Best regards,

Scott
