Did any manufacturer make a pressed steel rim with centre, that would fit on a D17. All the pics of AC's that I see with 38's are on powershift rims. Or where can I buy them new. I am putting 15.5 x 38 on the D17, and want to keep it in the 4500 lb class.

I built a set out of 9 bolt duals. I cut the center out and welded a 8 bolt center in it. They work great. Ive seen a few pics on here of them on pullers, they might chime in and give more advice. With them on my D17 wide front I can only get it to 5000 if I remember right.

Brian, I have 14.9 x 38 power shifts on my D-17 iv. The centers came from a Massey 65 high arch and are identical to the originials that were an option on the D-17's. Any Massey  8 bolt pressed steel rim will work. Maybe you can find one from a M-H 33. Good Luck

I just ordered a new set of 14x38 rims with stamped centers so I could put 15.5x38s on my WD puller.  I had two options - have them take a set of sprayer rims (10x38) and have them widden them.  Or, take a set of 14x38 rims and weld a dual wheel center in.  I chose the later, even though they are ~50 lbs heavier each.  I run wheel weights on my 14.9x28s any way, so the weight won't hurt.  Plus, I didn't like the idea of two full circumfrential welds for the spacer on the rims, and, I got exactly the backspacing I wanted so that the tractor still fits on the trailer, and clears the fenders.  They were NOT cheap though.
