You guys may think this is dumb but while I was sitting here thinking of warmer weather and tractor shows I remembered something that I had forgot to mention. When me and my friend went to the local tractor show we noticed several people with AC stuff on and several AC tractors but after talking to several people I found out that over half of them had never heard of the forum. I was amazed by that because I don't know how I could do a lot of things to my AC without this place. Anyway that got me to thinking that it would be neat if someone could make shirts with a logo on the front and on the back it say "Unofficial Allis-Chalmers Homepage & Forum" along with the URL below that. I've seen several other places have merchandise but I think it would be somewhat of an effective way to spread the word about the forum and AC in the process.

This is a quick concept I came up with but someone would have to revise and make them. If anyone does make a forum T-shirt I will buy one.

I will be sporting my home made T at Dale's Show this summer. It will have my screen name on the back. I am not sure about advertsing with the forum name however. Not sure if Darin would approve or not. His site. I do Hope to have a new cartooned Power Crater Engine logo there as well. Well see on that. I do agree though...a cool Unofficial Allis Forum shirt would be sweet. I would volunteer to do the art work.

That would be a great idea provided Darin approves.

When we did the Build-a-B shirts for the OPOP, we got permission from Darin to put the website URL on the shirt.

I would think you should be sure to get permission before using someone elses property.

I hope this is OK with Darin, I think it sounds like a great idea. It seems the more people that join here the better it is, unless of course you take into account the fact that we already have the cream of the crop here.
If it weren't for the last minute, I wouldn't get anything done!

I have one of the Black AllisChalmers.com hats that Darin sold a few years back. I don't see one like it in his store now though.
Glenn, thanks again for the Tee shirt. I guess I never knew it had the URL on it. I've only wore it a couple times.

Sounds like something Shadyacres might do.  Dave and Doriene Hexom, great people.

I think it's a great idea. But I think if we are going to do it, we should do it right. Get a good designer/artist to draw something up and print it. I have a great friend of mine who's business is printing T's and sign design. I can find out if he'd be interested in doing it. He's a great designer and could make a really cool t-shirt for us.
