A while back I was looking for an oversize piston to repair my WD for cheap, well that plan kind of went out the window. I had a set of standard sleeves and pistons, and I bought a D17 head from a forum member-I won't name any names at this point in case he wishes to remain anonymous, and this is my current status. Currently I am working on stopping some oil leaks and fine tuning. I will attach a link to a video, but rest assured, it is running better now than what is shown in the video. I also will link to a slide show.
My current plans are to put it to work augering grain for a while, and eventually adding paint and decals.

Probably the main problem with the way it was running there, was when I opened the throttle and it accelerated the engine had a miss. I pulled the plugs and found #2 had the gap closed in on it. I suppose it got bumped as I put the head on. I regapped all the plugs (which were basically new, because I had tried to get her running right before the tear down, hence the new plugs) and it made a tremendous difference. It is still too cold to go for much of a drive to try it out, minus 6 fahrenheit. I might be crazy, but I ain't stupid. ;D

Here it is today, I think she is ready to go to work now. I hope to eventually pretty her up some, but this will be good enough for now.
