Would like some suggestions on why the three point on a 7030 doesn't lift. The remote handle doesn't remain back in detent, just goes forward. There is  some sound when the handle is pulled back, but no movement. The pto seal leaked the fluid out, but after repairing it, the three point quite operating. All the other hydraulic remotes and steering works fine. The traction boost linkage appears fine and operates freely. Any help would be appreciated.

Ive had the spool that lifts the three point sieze in the bore, three point wont lift or wont lower.  Take the oblong cover off the back, and see if the spool moves.  You can get the spool out of the valve, it goes out the back, Ive done it in the corn field before, but I cant remember how much stuff is on the front has to come apart. Might have to hone the bore with a brake hone and clean up the spool.    good luck.

Been some time since observing this, is it something that can come off as an assembly?

Bill, this is the right hand valve on the stack, the other valves bolt to it.  You can remove the valve, youll have to take the tie bolts out as they are all bolted together.  Its a little pesky gettin around the front to unhook the linkage,.  Good luck.

Today I took the oblong cover off and the spool is moving but the 3pt. still willn't work and I still don't have any detent and the lever just want to go all the way forward to put the lever in the down positions. Is there anything else that we need to look for. THanks Kenny L.

There is not a "detent" for the 3-point hitch valve on a 7030. When the spool is moved to the rear, the hitch should go up. Just because your "remote" levers detent, that doesn't mean they actually work.......will they lift a load????

I'm going to assume that the remotes actually work (both in raise AND lower). Pull back on one of the remotes and while holding it rearward, then try to raise the 3-point....if that makes the hitch lift, then the pilot check is stuck open on the 3 pt valve.

With the cover off the back, will the lever in cab move the spool all the way both directions?  Sounds like a linkage problem or the  cylinder on back end has a problem (piston busted- dog bone fell out- cylinder support broke and let cylinder slide away from end cap. Have saw all of these happen.  Unhook line at valve going to 3pt cylinder and cap at valve. Pull 3pt lever if pump makes noise, then you have problems inside.  MACK
