does any one know the thread type used to push off the tapered hub from the wheel? it is not coarse or fine thread.

Jack screws! Been discussed here before and you are right about the thd and someone here knows,but not me.General concensus was home made stuff don't work.Someone said they used a set from a later model Case/IH which fit. Can't verify.Pricey from AGCO but how else are you going to loosen them? Tighten up very tight with wheel off ground and SMACK end of axle with BFH!!!

The Allis Chalmers jack bolts for the two piece, six bolt wheel wedge are 7/8 x 12 thread.  This is to prevent using a, off the shelf, 7/8 bolt and damaging the  3/4 thread in the wheel casting.

Smacking the axle with a hammer sure sounded pointless to me when I read that advice, but then I had to slip the wheels on a 7060.  I have the jack bolts all I possibly could with the air wrench and with breakovers and cheaters, so I beat on the end of the axle and smacked it around from side to side and up and down a bit just for fun, then put the wrench on the bolts again and couldnt believe how much progress I made.  Had to repeat several times, but it worked well.

Jack bolts off a Case IH 9110 are the same.  I found this out when removing my 210 wheels as the bolts in the cab of my 9110 fit and did a great job.  Get them tight and then hit the axle as hard as you can and they will come right off.
