Head bolts are 60 Fps; Rods are 35 fps; Mains are 80 Fps and the valve clearance is .010 hot (ABOUT .012 cold). I answered your post on the other site too, but as I said: I wasn't sure what you meant by rocker arm torque, as the head bots hold down the rocker arm shaft. I hope that helps! RyanTN

The rocker arm is held in place by 4 studs (which also holds down the vale cover. I don't know if there is a torque valve for these studs; but I do know that one can break the rocker arm post by too much torque. use a short ("stubby") 9/16" wrench to tighten the bolts.

Don't quote me but I think the rocker arm support torque is real light like 15 or 20 foot lbs. They should be absolutely clean underneath and on the head which any engine should be absolutely clean when assembling but I've witnessed plenty that are not when some do an "overhaul".

Yep, thanks Greg/Lonn. I stand corrected, temporary brain fart on my part. Looks like sometimes I need to just let these sit for days without answering rather than trying to be helpful and giving out bad info!
