All right I want your take on this. I have a 39 RC that has 24s on the back and this tractor is original. All evidence I can find is that these tractors had 28.

My understanding was they had 24s, cheaper and with less power was all that was needed.

Take a look at Tom's info here from a price book. Down about 7 lines it shows 28" as an option over the standard rubber rear tire.
