Hello all,
I am a new user here and I am hoping for some help in identifying my combine pickup and hopefully finding some belts to fit it.
It is an Allis Chalmers pickup fitted to a Gleaner M combine.
The combine is an early model - serial number 000220
The pickup has 5 belts 23.75 x 57.12 inches
I haven't been able to find any belts to fit anywhere in Canada or the US.
I'll attach some pics to help if someone can tell me how to do it because I'm not getting anywhere trying to do that! lol

Welcome to the AC forum.
Here’s an early thread about uploading photos to this site.

The main trick is to “resize your photos” to 200kb or less, BEFORE YOU UPLOAD THEM. 100kb seems to be ok & at that size your accounts memory isn’t over-filled as quickly.

The tag says LaPorte, so it was made by Allis in the LaPorte Indiana plant. Parts availability?? probably zero.

Yeah thanks, I called them and they said they could supply and I asked what freight would be cause US outfits usually gouge horribly to ship up here (why I avoid dealing with US companies if at all possible). He called me back and said their supplier had discontinued it! Same story at JenSales and of course the same story at Agco, Westward and everybody else that i've tried.
So, barring a miracle, I think I might try making some belts out of overlapping baler belting.Wacko (any other better ideas would be extremely welcome!)
They're not broke yet so I'm hoping they will last out the rest of the season so I can have the winter to find/build some new ones!

Part number for the belt is F22394.
That's not an Allis number but it is the right size belt, 23.75 x 57.12 inches

That's a size for Case pickup belts. You want to find a supplier that can order from Westward Parts. I'd try Prairie Bearing & Bolt in Manitoba. They don't make belts themselves, but they can order from Westward, who show that size pickup belt as a standard item. (Edit: I see you already tried Westward. They should be able to make one for you, even if it's not a stock item. Might just have to talk to the right people).

If they can't help you, you want to go to an industrial belt manufacturer/supplier, not necessarily an Ag belt supplier. Here in Ontario we use Erik's - they have locations all over. And there will be lots of other conveyor belt manufacturers who could help you out too. Will likely cost you more to have them vulcanize on the tooth attachments, but they'd be able to do it. Unless your teeth are the style that just bolt through slots & punched holes, in which case you could do that yourself once you had the belt made.

But I'd try Prairie Bearing first. They order from Westward, and Westward shows that size of pickup belt. See the item I've circled in this picture.

I hear you on ordering from US> It's not so much the supplier's fault, it's the companies like UPS and (to a lesser extent) FedEX charging crazy brokerage fees: UPS is by far the worst. Ordered a rebuild kit for a Case 188D last year. $485 for the kit, $70 shipping and duties which I thought quite good. But $280 to UPS for their brokerage fees. FedEX is usually a lot belter than UPS. Lots of companies only list UPS in their shipping options, but if you call them they'll often have a FedEX account they can ship under and save a lot of the brokerage fees.

Another option might be to google the Case part numbers for that belt (F22394 and F79158) and see if anyone has the Case ones in-stock.

DanielW, I have tried Prairie Bearing and they were the ones who told me that upon trying to order from Westward they were told that Westward had discontinued it.
I have searched all of these part numbers but they all come up empty.
I will need all new teeth anyway so I'm not concerned about putting them on myself, But I need the right width belting.
I am going to hope that these old belts will last a few more acres this fall and then I will try to find some belting somewhere but I'll have almost a year to get it done.
I'm just really sorry that they don't want to make the ready-to-use belt anymore!
Oh well, they won't force me to get a newer combine just for this! lol.
Love my old Gleaner!
