Hey all, I still lurk around but just don't post much. This pic of a model B appeared on the web. Check out the rear half torque tube?? New one on me, how about you all?

I dont know if the tube failed and they put the flanges on the bolt it back together, or if the plan was to shorten the tube like an IB... Distance where the "battery" would set seems a little short compared to factory.
Like them all, but love the "B"s.

Did the B's ever have an auxiliary Sherman step-up or step-down transmission. Could the torque tube extension be for the ones that didn't have the Sherman transmission?

I know nothing about the IB tractors but it seems like I read somewhere that they have a shortened torque tube. Is this anything at all like that? Confused

Appears to be pretty early model, possible experiment and found complication not worth cost? Would be curious what serial number is.
