The bale counter was missing the spring when I bought the baler. I just got the spring from AGCO for $1.89 but don't know exactly where to connect it. There is a cotter pin head forward of the counter  that looks like it was intended for the spring to connect to, but if I attach it there, the spring seems over stretched and puts a LOT of pull on the poor little counter. Anyone have a photo of this set-up they would share? I looked through the various Manuals but didn't see anything helpful. Thanks.

Well this photo explains a lot. My bracket is bolted to the side in the center of the U- channel cross member 4-5" back further than yours, and the counter is turned 180 degrees with reset knob towards the inside. Thanks for making the effort to help, appreciate it.

It's always a struggle for me too. I forget how to do it in between the times I do. Is your counter and bracket mounted the same as in this photo?
