Looks just like the one we had nearly 50 years ago, except ours had a single front wheel. Perhaps the two way plows were more popular in the irrigated parts of the country.

Hey, just down the road from my inlaws.....
Those plows are pretty common out here. I gave $20 for my last set...but they have been welded up. Another set (hand lift) came with on a C nf, which I bought with a sf C and adjustable front B w/two way plows and front axle weights for a total of $800 (used to be owned by Utah Jazz coach Jerry Sloan). I have another nice set that came with a WD45 and AC 3pt adaptor for $500 total. I think I have another set, but can't remember where they came from. John I think a lot of veggie growers (single front wheel) and flood irrigators used the 2 way plows to keep their fields flat...jmho

The disc plows worked great for breaking new soil if you had rocks or tree stumps as they will swing around them. They also work good in trashy ground.

I believe they were designed to be used in freshly cleared ground where one might encounter tree roots or large rocks. The disk plow will raise up over them as opposed to a moldboard catching them and breaking something or just plain hanging up the tractor. I wish I had a disk plow but they are fairly difficult to fing in useable condition at an affordable price.

Don't really think the 2 way plow is rare. I picked mine up for the B easily and have heard of a couple sets for sale over the years.

I've seen several sets of AC 2 way plows here in Colo, never saw them in Ohio but I was a little kid back then. I've read (here) that there were only 600 C's with the single front. I find that hard to believe because I've seen at least 1/60th of them. They were popular for cultivating sugarbeets and dry beans around here. I plowed a lot of gardens and yards around here with the C and two way plow when I was 45 years younger.

After WWII we sold a lot of 2 way plows for the C in our area. Funny, but the only plow er could get was the left hand plow. So - don't forget this is right after WWII and things are really scarce - we mounted the left hand plow with 2 way hyds and the customoers reluctantly plowed with them till we got the RH plow year or two later. Then we mounted that and it brought the plow to battery.
Long winded but that reminded me of what we did then.

My Dad had the 2-way plows on his B. Altho the early ones were lifted mechanically, his had hydraulics. A little lever on the front side of the seat controlled which plow was being lifted.
I always thought that extra plow put some weight right where it could best be used.

I do not believe the 2 way plows are rare. We had a set we bought in 1942. Others also had them around here. Nifty plows on a C, but a little light for sod and hard soils.

Well, they might not be rare where you guys are, but they're dang near nonexistent down here. Eldon, some people have all the luck. Glenn, you could have mentioned the pallet full or two thing before I bought the #4 plow. LOL! Actually, I would be better off with the trailer plow for ease of changing jobs, or I could just buy another tractor. LOL!

You didn't ask..... LOL I have plows, drawbars, brackets, for the C, but no rockshafts or depth adjustments. I think Ed does though....
I'm probably overstocked on B plows, but like I said, I'm a hoarder.

I have 2 pair of 2 way plows for my G. A pair of 325's and a pair of 125's.
My book shows plows with the bullet points for the G, I've never seen one but would like to have one. Or better yet a pair of them.

if its got the proper rock shaft & everything it should be worth that kind of money. I'm still looking for the proper rockshaft & mounts for a C & B double plows i have. Not very comon around here.
