The ball joint on my 160 won't stay in the socket anymore. It looks like the ball joint is supposed to be a replaceable part, but I'm having a hard time finding it. Does anybody have a source for it? Thanks.

I’ve had good luck calling my AGCO dealer to find out if they are still available, if NLA they will search the dealer network to see if anyone has any and give me the phone number to call to purchase it. 160 parts are getting hard to find unfortunately but I have been lucky so far.

Not yet. Thanks to your and ACMan's advice, I called around to a couple of the AGCO dealers around. It took me a little bit to find one that was willing to help, but I talked to one today that is looking for the parts for me, so we will see how that goes.

Cry If the world only standardized such things as ball joints.

Wink Sometimes you can get lucky anyway.Big smile In the early 2000's I needed one on the Knife drive of the Gleaner 1978 MH2. I had replaced one a week earlier on a 2 ton grain truck ( cannot remember if the 58 Ford, or the 60 Chevy ). The local auto parts had one in stock, and looked like it was the same size. They let me try it and fit very nicely.LOL So luck can be a real help some days.
