Old size is 13.6x26
Looking at newer tires with same size. Did tire size change on this size over the years? |

I believe a 13.6 was the widest tire offered on a D-14. The D-15's had a 14.9 offered from the factory.

Around 1960 13.6 - 26 took the place of the 12-26. The 13.6 fits a 12" wide rim. It is a current size.

Ok good deal...
Tires I am looking at, are Brand new with the tits on the tire. Made in 2013, but never mounted on a tractor and always stored indoors. Any risk on a tire like that from 2013? From the pictures I seen they do look brand new. Edited by Don(MI) - 28 Jan 2025 at 6:05pm |

I sure wouldn't worry unless they are a very cheap overseas brand. How do you use your D-14?? How many hrs per year???

I’ve been looking for rears for my D14 and the 13.6 are hard to find. 14.9’s all day long. Crop max is a 13.9 also, but I haven’t given up yet. Still searching, 3 local dealers have been scratching their head as to why they are so hard to find. Alliance Farm pro is another one they carry.

Actually if they were stored inside, with no sun, it makes the rubber in the tire a little harder and abraision resistant. Made in India, if I read my googles right...

If I was looking for tires that I would use at highway speeds, age would definitely be a consideration. I know tires are different, but I've seen (and have) tractor tires that are 50+ years old and still had life left in them.

I have upsized to 14.9 x 26 on all 3 of my D14s. No need to change rims. I have had good luck with BKT TR-135 tires.

I’m a fan of BKT tires, have them on my 190XT. How does the 14.9 look on a D14? Are they as tall as the fenders? Can you post pictures of one of your tractors Myron? If a 14.9 fits the stock rim I don’t have a problem upsizing, far more choices.
