I need opinions on the best engine kit you can buy for the 433t engine. The motor us stuck and iss missing the injectors. I plan on rebuilding it myself. Also it does not have the front crankshaft brace. Where would I find one? The tractor is decent overall and has a cab so I'm thinking I goy a good deal.

I couldn't find the serial number. It does have a khd emblem on the front grill which tells me it could be a 85.

Ok I'll check that out. I paid 1500 for the whole thing. I think I did good. There is 2 complete 433I engines that are there sitting on a pallet barely covered by a tarp. How much should I offer for those 2 motors. I'm concerned they are not much good but maybe they are.

Why would they be any good?? They were removed for some reason. Maybe ask why they aren't in a tractor chassis. or are they combine engines ??

Sadly I'll never know the original owner died. I got involved because I'm the local Allis-Chalmers guy. I figured for 1500 I could have a nice 80hp tractor with a cab with a fresh engine

Yes there is a motor in the tractor plus 2 on a pallet. I'm not going to offer much for those engines because they're sitting outside barley covered

They would be core value or less not knowing condition. They may be total junk. You don't know til tear down. As Dirty Harry says...do you feel lucky today?

Yeah I'm going to offer scrap. I'm hoping the injector pumps are at least good for a core. Both engines are orange I'm wondering if they came out of a combine. They were obviously shipped in from somewhere and they both say no oil on the block. They were probably good engines until they were put outside who knows how long they have been outside tarp is badly deteriorated and if I had to guess probably 10-15 years atleast..

Its cheap enough at $1500,,- if you do most of the work yourself , youll be fine! Good luck, keep the updates coming!

Absolutely. Some people think I should swap the motor. But if it's still able to be rebuilt I'd rather do that. I rebuilt the motor in my Allis-Chalmers 715c. So I'm confident I can rebuild this motor.

Are the combine engines different or no? I figured they were because they are orange.

I’d say at $1,500 so far you’re already lucky! While you’re on a roll if you don’t see any obvious damage on the 2 engines I would offer a low price and hope to get them. Most combines I’ve seen in our area with those engines have less than 4k hours on them because the farms are much smaller here and not as many hours are put on them. If taken care of they are 10k hour engines before needing a rebuild. Take a breaker bar and big sockets with you and see if the engines can be rotated. Remove drain plug and make sure antifreeze or water doesn’t come out. Sounds like you stumbled on some orange gold to me. The blocks are the same but a few things need to be changed over. Oil pan, injector pump, front support bracket I think just thinking off the top of my head but you already have the old engine to pull those parts off of.

AC720Man I hope to get them for parts atleast. I think I would like to keep the original block to the tractor if possible. But who knows I may change my mind

I found out today that it's a 1985 and it's just over 300 from being the last 6080 produced..

i have many 6080's and the engines can all be bad and still run even if there is excessive crankshaft play on them. even the later blocks khd with the updated center thrust bearings go bad in a hurry if the front bearing brace wasnt there and they left the pto handle in the disengaged position. you can get a brace for the engine at a wrecker. the pto handle pressure pushes the crank into the block and wears into it. i would find a good running engine out a f2 gleaner combine, you have to change some housings and the pump but it might be the cheapest choice. i have run one of those combine conversions 15 years and its still working for me today.....

You got a great deal - I would tear the engines down and use the best parts to build one and hold or sell the balance. The difference in the one you built is the heads. The newer heads have copper sleeves the injectors set in- be careful and don't let anyone 'tank' them. Have them pressure checked. If these heads have been overheated - they usually leak or have cracked. The orange engines will have to have the front cover changed as they have no provision for Hyd pump drive and will probably have good thrust areas for the crank. Salvage yards will have the front cover brg kit or bra.

Yes my Allis-Chalmers 715c has the 433t that have those sleeves in where the injectors go. I'm hoping I can rebuild the original motor and fix up the tractor a little bit here and there
