A small piece about .5 inches broke out of the edge where the exhaust manifold gasket goes .What have you guys used to fix the problem.It is made of Aliuenium(poor spelling)can I use like JB weld on it.

JB Weld probably won’t handle the heat…
What model of Kohler are you working with?
Maybe have a blacksmith or welding shop weld it?

I just downloaded it ,again,
 exhaust is internally tapped for 1/2" or 3/4" pipe fittings

Mine is burned out a little on the head exhaust portion the topi am using JB weld temperature is 550 so hope it holds

If you go that route you might try steelstick… it looks to be good with pressure and heat. Never tried it myself but I have used waterweld on cracked air compressor line…

I think the JB weld will work. I've repaired cracked diesel blocks and never had any leaks or anything failing. Just gotta' make sure the area to be repaired is clean. Use Brakekleen to soak and get any oil or soot out of the damaged area, then mix a batch up. Give it a couple days to cure in 50 or above degrees. (if possible this time of year)
