Anyone have the specs for the step between clutch surface and pressure plate mounting? Having the flywheel cut and want to make sure the flywheel is right before I install. Thanks.

Whoever is grinding the flywheel should have that spec . Detroit 2-71 is common to most other Detroit flywheels using the lip .
Had mine resurfaced when I went to bi-metal disc to replace fiber clutch disc . Shop knew the specs .

Standard disc (fiber) is also the same as a IH L190 truck from 50's - Black Diamond Gas engine used with a 5 speed transmission

Thank you for that useful tidbit, I took a screenshot and put it in my archives. The International L-190's with which I am familiar had Red Diamond engines.

Thanks for the info. Will check it out. Found some but all have springs in the center, original does not. Thinking I do not want springs. Already enough play in system.

Be sure to replace the pilot bearing in flywheel with sealed bearing and plug the oil wick hole if it has not already been done .
