Truck finally picked up the rest of our storm debris. All the trucks I've seen have a SUV that follows them around and just sits while they're loading. Dunno why. Government job I guess?

Hey, you can’t expect them to work without supervision 🤪. After seeing what is going on in western NC I have no respect for FEMA. I was in the Asheville area for a whole day at the end of October and didn’t see a single FEMA vehicle or worker and I went into some of the areas that had the worst damage. Plenty of civilian volunteers out there working though. FEMA trailers sitting in lots not being used while private individuals and companies are donating travel trailers for people to live in.

Yea,, check out the Calf canyon Hermits peak fire recovery on FB, been 3 years these folks haven't seen anything from FEMA,, and they are not happy
A little back story, this fire started as a "controlled burn" by the forest service,, and,, well,, got way out of control... |

yeah... 'controlled burn' , since WHEN has man been able to tell ANY woman, especially MOTHER NATURE what to do !!!!! I have no sympathy for the residents in the Fraser Valley,BC which tends to FLOOD often, well, just after almost every 'rain event'. It's a HUGE, tidal mudflat but 'they' gotta live there, put in roads, choochoos, etc.......

Control Burns here are rather fun, usually await the WORST Windy Day to do them.
