Bill was one of the very early tractor collectors in this area. He was a small Irish fellow and had a lot of friends here. It seems every one from Ireland that was visiting in this area, somehow ended up at Bill's little farm. I asked him once how that happened? Was he listed in Ireland as a place to visit?? No, he said, most Irish visitors usually called in at the Irish Club in Edmonton and they would send them out to Bill and Verna's. Bill had made a most comfortable Irish Pub in the lower level of his house with a big wood fired schoolhouse stove in there for heat. I remember many evenings with Irish guests all singing the old songs after a few drams of Guiness. He was an Allis man at heart, and I still have a couple of his tractors along with his dog and a 20 year old cat that came to me when he could no longer live on the farm and he passed in the senior's lodge about three years ago, after a bad fall.
