Have one but have not used it yet as I have a lot of pictures saved which I should delete as I copied them off sites for old posts or political ideas which now are out of date .

I've used IRFAN as my 'picture' viewer for decades, only use 5-6 options of it.
I will NOT use Chrome !
I have Firefox put EVERYTHING I download onto my desktop, that way I KNOW I got it and can move it to the folder of MY choice, WHEN I want to.

i dont know for sure... but i think Irfanview will open, modify , save any photo of any extension to any other extension.. Very versatile.... i think what JOE wants to do is turn on a PROGRAM and have it go HUNT DOWN all the photos on his hard drive and bring them all into one file as a Group... Not sure that is what Irfanview is for..
Like them all, but love the "B"s.

We have a BINGO,.,.,.,.!! Steve,. that right there is EXACTLY what the advertising stated,.,.,. "Just slip the Photo Stick into the device of your choice and sit back and watch it search for and group ALL your photos to a folder designated by you"
I do not know IF any of that ad is real or not but was hoping someone here would let us all know,.,.,.,.
 IS it p;ossible,.,.?

Please note that it will take some time for ThePhotoStick Omni to find each of your photos and safely back them up. This time can vary depending on how many photos you have, the size of your files, and the type of device you are using. But the great thing about ThePhotoStick Omni is that anyone can use it, no matter how comfortable they are with technology!

I bought the Mrs one or something similar a couple years ago. I’d like to help but she hasn’t used it yet.

curious, I went to the website...
1st , high cost vs any normal flashdrive( can get 2 Terrabytes for <$40 CDN....)
2nd. says 'backup' NOT 'copy'. there is a HUGE difference !
3rd, need THEIR 'app' to use, another 'red flag'
4th, NO screen shots of how it's used.....

ok ,yuck it's wet outside so I did a test...

using IRFAN....used 'thumbnails viewer' so find all pix on my desktop and subfolder, 4500 about 2 GB worth, then in 'file', selected all  and COPIED them to a new desktop folder. took 2-3 minutes( went for coffee...). ALL pix are there....Kinda scary as it found pictures of stuff I USED to own, many, many moons ago......
IRFAN does allow you to put 'selected' groups of pix into separate folders,so tractor stuff in 'tractors', family pix in 'family', etc.

I only spent 10-15 minutes playing with it, BUT it IS fairly EASY to use. Like anything( driving tractors , farming, etc. ) the more time you spend on it, the better you get !

Good to know Jay.... i did not realize it would "FIND" photos.

---

well i tried it and it DID WORK... but i also go 10,000 GIF and WAV files that were part of WIN 11 , Chrome, and every other program on the computer... Would take a while to SORT and DELETE all the GARBAGE ..

it may be you've 'associated' .GIF and .WAV files to IRFAN
you'll need to specify ONLY the 'file extensions' ( .JPG, .PNG ) you want it to find.

I just looked for .JPG in my test.
