I bid on a bunch of stuff at this auction and only won this rear mounted field cultivator for a B. At least it was a beautiful day for a drive to Missouri. I don't see these much in the Midwest, but I'm hoping to set it up to do two 20-24" rows. I know that's not typically how they're used, but it's a toolbar at the end of the day.

I do see it has the bracket for the gauge wheel, but with that missing, I'm wondering why I couldn't just put stop collars on the hydraulic cylinder attached to the rockshaft?

I think I will also have to check my stash of B parts as the rockshafts on my '39 and '40 Bs don't have the mounting tab for connecting to this cultivator like the newer Bs appear to.

Anybody else use one of these B field cultivators (not the typical one row B cultivator) in their garden or field?

If you ground is quite level, stop collars could work. If you look through B manuals and implement parts books, There was a depth stop made for the rockshaft. I had a bunch of them that all went with my NOS B&C parts that I wholesaled out. I'm not sure if I kept one or not, I'll start looking while I'm clearing things out.
  The depth wheels are not quite as hard to find and some other sought after items. 
If it was fun to pull in LOW gear, I could have a John Deere.
Real pullers don't have speed limits.
If you can't make it GO... make it SHINY

Some of my fields aren't so level, so sounds like I may need to keep an eye out for or rig up my own depth wheel.

Is the depth stop the small hand crank assembly I see at the right side of the rockshaft on some Bs?

Yes: That small hand crank is the B/C depth stop. I've seen a few for the RH side, but for the LH side, only in the parts book.

i just put one of those on one of my B’s. Mine has the depth gauge wheel . It really worked well. We used it for cultivating a small plot  after discing before we seeded. Id think you could fab some sort of wheel on it if necessary if you have the mount .
