Was driving the WD to a tractor ride this morning when she starting sputtering, losing power, then finally quit. Wouldn't restart. Tank is half full, but it hasn't run in about 5 months. The bowl had crap in the bottom. I'm going to drain the tank, then inspect the fuel line & carb. Am I on the right track?

I'd say yes. With the bowl off, check for good flow from the tank

If it is a fuel issue, the inlet of the sediment bowl is probably plugged with rust and dirt. If that is the case, the tank will probably have to be drained and the sediment bowl removed to clean it.
It's a good chance to shine a light in the fuel tank to see what it looks like. If it's rusty, you might want to clean it before reinstalling the sediment bowl. Your problem could be a bad coil or condensor.

If you have Ethenol in the fuel in your area, that could be the cause, especially since it sat for 5 or so months. Plenty of time for the Ethenol to separate and make muck in the bowl of the Carb or the fuel tank. Wouldn't rule out the possible Condenser issue either. Then little buggers cause the same type of issue..... Steve@B&B

. Last tank before parking should be "rec fuel" or recreation fuel that has no ethanol. Fuel stabilizers do nothing. .
