does anyone know what this seat is from? it does not match the parts catalog online, but maybe it was a dealer installed option? It is super nice to ride but thought Id try to see what the story is on it, it was on the tractor when my father in law got it some 20 years ago.

Dang. I've seen Knoedler seats before, but this doesn't line up with those at all. Wild.

I think it is called an ez-ride. I have one on a WD. White in color. To far away to get a photo. Mine still has the decal.

I'm thinking that is a buffalo mfg. seat. Built in Columbus, NE. We have one on our IHC H, that my Grandpa purchased new in 1944. That cast adjustment crank adjusts the tension on the two springs. , Mike

After a brief search I found that both Kevin and dr p are correct; Monroe EZ-Ride.
Apparently parts are still readily available from Steiner's Tractor |

Guess I am not able to see where this is a Monroe EX-ride since its missing the big singluar spring, but I do believe its a Joy Rider by Buffalo, as the last post mentioned. its still cool none the less, just need to fix the pivot bushing as its no longer existent.
FOUND IT: http://www.brianahart.net/joyrider.htm it looks like the steel seat option rather than a cushioned version. yet again this site is amazing thanks everyone! Edited by Lingle - 24 May 2024 at 12:55pm |

I just think it is cool there was a time when there were at least 4 companies making aftermarket "seats" for our tractors. One of the things i love about 50's era allis stuff is that there was so many companies making little gadgets for allis equipment.
