That depends on what the new deck is supposed to fit. What do you have for info on the new simplicity deck?

Hey MikeZ the new deck is from a Simplicity Regent
O/SIMPLICITY/2691456 is on the tractor, the deck has no tag he says but tractor model is 2691456. Does this make any senseš Edited by captaindana - 25 Apr 2024 at 5:28pm |

Is it a stamped or fabricated deck. My gut says itās not going to work based on how the linkage connects on the front

Ya see my T816 came with a 48ā:deck and the fellow said he never had the deck running because of some āpartā he didnāt have. I have my owner op manual coming. So if this new available deck wont work Iāll try to get what I have going again. Thing is this new deck is unused. Thanks Dana

With enough time and torch gas everything is a bolt on. Itās probably going to be a lot of reinventing the wheel. What part are you missing from the original deck?

You should be able to download all the manuals from simplicitymfg.com. You will need the mfg number off the tractor. If you donāt have that number you can search on partstree.com by model number and it will show mfg numbers for that model.

Your 818 decks main attachment is from front. Looks like that other deck is to the rear. Send me some pictures of 818 deck and Iāll see if I can tell whatās missing.

The engagement rod probably is what is missing. It would run from the lever on I believe the left floorboard forward to the pivot on the left side of front mount on deck. It would pull the pivot rearward to engage the deck by tightening the belt and releasing the brake rod across the front of the center arbor pulley on the deck. Clear as mud?
