Roy Maurice Fine, 84, Braddyville, IA, died Wednesday, January 12, 2005 at Clarinda Regional Health Center in Clarinda, IA.

He was born October 7, 1920 in Siam, IA to Clem and Della (McMullin) Fine.

He married Sara Elizabeth Russell on September 29, 1948 in St. Joseph, Missouri.

Mr. Fine was a farmer and operated Clem Fine and Sons Allis Chalmer Dealership at Siam and later, Bedford, Iowa. He was a member of Wray Memorial United Methodist Church and Glen Ulmer American Legion Post #288, both in Hopkins, MO. He was also a 50 year member of Plum Lodge #285 AF & AM and Highland Chapter #523, Order of the Eastern Star, both of Siam.

Like them all, but love the "B"s.

Funeral   services for Clem Fine, 82, lifelong   resident of the Siam, Iowa area, were held January 26 at the Siam Christian Church with Carl Cummings and Rev.   Loren   Daly   officiating. Mr. Fine died January 22, 1973, at Municipal Hospital in Clarinda, following   a    10-day stay. Interment     was     at    Shearer Cemetery, Page County, Iowa.

Clem Fine, son of E. [phraim] J. [asper] and Josephine Booze Fine, was born July 30, 1890, on a farm, one-fourth mile from his residence Page County Iowa.

Clem spent his entire life within one fourth of a mile from his birthplace. He started a blacksmith shop in his younger boyhood days. A few years after his marriage, he started into machinery business and has spent the last 55 years in the Allis Chalmers Farm Equipment line. He was one of the older established dealers of the line, if not the oldest in the area. He was always active in his business and never retired.

Yes this does. The dealership was in rural Iowa near Siam. It was a striving dealer in the middle of nowhwere (towns) about 10-15 miles to any sizeable town. My Wifes Family own it until it closed in the 2000's.
