According to the parts book, the overall length of pipe was 40".  I made mine 48.

Use high temperature black paint.

vht brand high temp from your auto parts store  dont waste your money on barbque paint from the hardware store it will burn off ,  one pipe one can of paint  i re paint and straighten every pipe if its crooked  on every tractor that leaves my shop. bent leaking pipes and mufflers just bug me and makes the whole tractor look crapy.   if its silver it still takes one can its a lot harder not to have the silver pipes not rust
