WC with 2 transmissions

seen on EBAY.  Doea this belong to anyone here OR has anyone ever done this?  Looks like a WD tranny mated to the rear of the WC one.

I'd guess it has the second tranny sandwiched between the front (original) tranny and the WC rearend. No WD parts used. Low gear in front and low gear in the rear would be super super slow. Road gear in both would still yield a normal speed road gear.

Its like what RF said... Think this was on ebay last fall wasn't it? Sure looks like one that was up for auction with two trannys

Looking at it again I guess you wouldn't because your removing a section and adding the other tranny back in? How well does it really work is a good question?

Doesn't the front transmission tower look shorter than the rear? Maybe the boot is on further so make it look shorter.

Ah yes, this guy is an imbecile- look at his other auctions, and watch regularly.

He knows darned well what year the tractor is- he parts out AC tractors daily.  I'd be willing to bet that he actually reassembled some of this from some of the tractors he's parted.  And don't conclude that he's unaware or misunderstanding of the situation- he's had more of these apart than you can imagine-  torch, air-wrench, and skidloader are his primary tools.

His standard modus operandi, is to buy a perfectly good running tractor, take photos of it, and then advertise all the valuable parts individually, by showing pictures of the entire tractor.  He takes off what he can sell fast, and scraps the rest.  I'm guessing that, from the lack of overspray management, that he hit this one with a can of touch-up, but saved a few bucks on running the pressure-washer... look at the easily-covered places, easily-removed areas, and of course, the areas most likely to accumulate dirt (the fuel tank seam) for indications.

His ads all have the same key phrases:

"This (was) from a good running tractor!"
"LOOK at my photos.  "
"SELLING IT AS IS WHERE IS!!! NO REFUNDS OR EXCHANGES!!!"
"Check out my other GREAT auctions"
"email with ANY questions?  "
"If item is NOT removed within 60 days it is mine again!! I will either send you a bill for storage or resell the item!! Whichever I choose!! "

I can guarantee this: Once he decides that he can't get his asking price for it, he'll take same photos you see here, and start offering the parts... and bone it out like all the rest.

Richard, are those both WC tranny's then?  It looks like the rear one on the other is "backwards" in there. Seems like it would be an easy way to get some gear ratio

i have the 2 transmissions in the WC i bought this year! coupled up the the chev motor that's also in it, haven't had the time to look it over real good yet, hope to get it into the shop yet this winter to mess with it! sooooo...was it factory on the high crops, or modified?

I bought a 34 WC that had a second Transmission added like this. It was from a Chevrolet truck of a similar year. In this case a mechanic/machinist added it to slow the travel of the tractor because it had an allis mounted corn picker and the yield was to much for it to handle at factory ground speed in the 1970's. It would not go faster than factory as it was set up. As explained to me, high gear in a WC is same as direct connect so the two trannys as set up in my case would only go slower. I had 16 speeds and low-low was a creeper, high-high was no faster than normal. I don't think I even took a picture of it. Picker was shot and I put the tractor back to factory on full steel and it was the beginning of my unstyled WC collection. This was in the late 1980's.
