I was looking in the file I keep my WC manuals and some WC ads, etc and I found a sheet of legal paper that says:
JR Basset
1936 WC $450.
Then his phone # and directions
Then 10:00am Saturday 6/6/92
Wow, I can pinpoint the day and time I officially became a tractor collector!
What a great memory. My Dad and I went out to see... (I can't remember if it was J R or junior) Mr Basset. The WC was in the back corner of the machine shed where it had been sitting for quite awhile. He put a gallon of gas in it, we pulled her all of three feet and she was running! I drove her up on the trailer and tied her down while Dad and JR visited. On the way over Dad was asking why I wanted a danged ole WC, on the way home it was, the old girl started real good, she looks pretty good for her age.
This is the oldest picture I could find of her back in 2000.

Just something about the WCs, as I've found out, is that they quickly grow on ya or is that just all ACs? LOL

I've found that not only do the WC's grow on you, but th4e others as well. Startedmy collection with a 47 WC 10 or so years ago. Now have 23. Three of them are strictly parts though. Ps: Only four are WC's.
