I pushed a little ice and snow and had to get down to shirt sleeves. That 7010 heater works wonderfull...

I wish I would have taken a few pictures. On Dec. 11 we had such a snow storm - the snow was more than halfway up our overhead garage doors. I was out plowing with my WD and a snow drift was higher than me on the tractor!

Pushed snow 3 times so far all before "winter" got here too. Like ta froze to death the last couple weeks of "fall" and now that winter is here it got up to 40 for a minute or 2 yesterday. The snow is pushed back far enough to have room for what we are supposed to get Thursday afternoon through Friday. I wore my huntin Orange cause there's very little Orange on the tractor and I had to do some clean up out by the road. I would just as soon the crazy drivers could see me from a ways off.

Lookin' good there, Charlie!
I've been using the D17 and back-blade to knock out a path from the back barn up to the house, and out to the road... once the worst of it is punched through, I get the little loader-mutt (a mix of Cub Cadet parts with a Johnson Workhorse loader) out to clean it all up nice. D17 needs chains though...

Pastor Mike, I made the blade from a 82 gallon electric water heater. I think the Quad Cities Nuclear plant has cut back on producing electric power since I put a gas heater in.LOL Do you have some kind of diverter valve on you tractor to run the loader separate of the blade?
I think a blade up front is better than a bucket. I have a 5 ft. snow bucket but if you load it up and raise it the back used to get light. I mostly would trip the bucket and use it like a front blade but you can't pile the snow up that way. With the blade on the front, I can bust through 4 or 5 foot high drifts if I want and you're not driving on most of the snow. Now that I have the SC blade and 1 extension I can widen my dozed out path and do a good job of clean up. The front blade is tipped back and riding on the angle Iron support and mounting bracket or it will dig 12-18 deep in the yard before you know it. It doesn't clean well that way but that's what I use the back blade for.

Thanks for the info on the blade. Sounds like it might be good to make one some day. My bucket is about 6 foot wide I think. It has some points sticking out so I could not run it tripped. I have a 3 pt blade on the back of my WD. It is older one but works good. I have a needle valve on the line to the rear tractor hydraulic cylinders, and a needle valve on the line to the loader hydraulic cylinders. I have to turn one off and the other on. It doesn't take too much time to do that. I also can lock both of them up if I want too, like for going down the road.
I need chains on the tractor too, or else I don't get much traction!.

My loader is a Farmhand F-19. Just had to put new rubber gaskets in it and metal gasket too.

Not enough snow here yet. I don't even have the rear blade on the 45. But, I did mount the snowblower on the JD 322 garden tractor before I went in for heart surgery 4 wks ago tomorrow. I did tell her that I think that I can run the JD w/snowblower, WOW if looks could kill ;-)
It's OK, neighbor has a Bobcat that he will clean our drive with.
