Looking at the parts manual for the 7000 brake setup, it shows a qty of 4 brake cover gaskets.  I only had one on each side.  Are these gaskets supposed to be doubled up to shim the cover out, or is it a typo in the manual?  It's part number 70260813.

Used as shims. Remove them as disc lining gets worn. New springs. Grease the ball pockets and outer rub areas (four) so nothing sticks or binds.

So if I'm having my discs relined, should I install with 2 gaskets on each side?  Or is there a good method for knowing target thickness?

Also, on the greasing part, where are the rub areas?  Is that the part of the actuating disc that engages the brake housing?  And what kind of grease do you find works best?  I have some moly spray, would that be better so things don't gum up?

Put it together with no shims and if you can turn the wheel, it ain't too tight. LOOK at the brake plates. There are four places that position them inside the brake housing. Any grease is better than nothing, gummy or not. Spray grease? prob not.....gun grease....wheel; brg grease....
